Also known as PTSD, I believe that these words encompass far more than identifiable large traumas like combat, sexual assault, and extreme weather conditions. Whatever has been traumatic for an individual’s life can cause PTSD for that person whether it is a large “T” trauma or a small “t” trauma like something someone said to us years ago, an accident or injury.
